No, this is not a reference to Maryland’s new (2012) or old (2011) football uniforms, although they are not helping any.
Yesterday it was reported that Maryland’s starting quarterback, C.J. Brown, has torn his ACL and will miss the entire 2012 season. It is now up to Perry Hills or Caleb Rowe, to fill the vacancy at the position. Both Hills and Rowe are true freshman.
Before Brown’s injury, several pre-season prognosticators picked Maryland to finish fifth place in the Atlantic Division of the ACC (with Boston College at sixth). Now, after news of Brown’s ACL injury, a fifth place finish would be a dream come true for the struggling Terps.
Oh…it’s been ugly there for a while now.
Sad, but very true.
