Oklahoma State, you must be so proud of your once great receiver.
Dez Bryant, the Oklahoma State receiver who was issued a suspension from the NCAA (while at Oklahoma State) due to his interactions with Deion Sanders and then lying about such interaction to NCAA investigators, has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault.
Dez Bryant was officially charged today with assault stemming from the fight he had last week with his mom … TMZ has learned.
Jamille Bradfield at the Dallas County D.A.’s office tells TMZ … Bryant was charged with assault, family violence — a class A misdemeanor.
No court date has been set.
As TMZ first reported, Bryant was busted on July 14 after his mom told police the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver hit her in the face with his baseball cap … and grabbed her by the shirt so hard that he ripped her bra.
The timing of Bryant’s assault on his mother couldn’t be worse. One cannot turn on a television without seeing the “1 is 2 many” ad campaign aimed at stopping violence against women. The campaign features men such as President Obama and New York Giants QB Eli Manning.
What say you now Oklahoma State? Are you still willing to come running to his defense? It will be interesting to see.
